Education: U.S. major export

U.S. colleges and universities not only provide higher education to American students but also to scholars from all over the world. Bringing cultural diversity to campuses around the U.S., international students comprise 5% of the student body of most U.S.institutions of higher learning. American or international, the daunting task they all share before starting their college life is how to pick one college from among several. Facing with thousands of choices, it is difficult to find the right college. The days are gone when high grades and test scores alone could guarantee admission to top universities. Colleges now look at the student’s extra curricular activities, their interests, their volunteer works, how well they communicate through their essays, and often how they present themselves in the interviews.

College, next to a house, is the most expensive investment most people will make in their lifetime. Choosing a college without adequate investigation results in one out of three college students leaving the college where they started and 50% will require more than four years to earn their degrees.

High school guidance counselors do help. However, with an average ratio of 500 to 1, many high school counselors do not have the time to help students who need individualized college counseling.

The best advice is: "Do your own research and investigation."

Our goal is to provide information, tools, tips ,and advice that will make your college and career selection process a lot easier for both American and international students.
